Phil Lester, also known on YouTube as AmazingPhil, is celebrating his 30th birthday today, January 30th! The past year has been remarkable for Phil. From touring the world with his best friend to releasing a second book and a charity single, it has certainly been a whirlwind! We’re glad that Phil seems to be taking the day off and enjoying himself.

Dan and Phil shared that they will be heading up north to celebrate Phil’s birthday with some of their friends. On Saturday, it appeared that Phil already kicked off the birthday celebrations as he posted a picture of this decadent dessert plate!

In this video, Phil simultaneously tells us a bit more about himself while showing off his creativity. Using a cardboard brain with flaps and some advanced editing skills, Phil shows us what it is like inside the world of AmazingPhil, including segments such as ‘The Random Campus’, ‘The Worry Machine’, and ‘The Pot of Hopes and Dreams’. This video definitely helps us feel like we know Phil a bit better!
2. A Static Lullaby – Toxic (Britney Spears Cover)
Now this is a real throwback! Back in 2009, Phil lip-synced so well to A Static Lullaby’s cover of ‘Toxic’ that people thought he was actually singing! The dramatic poses and Phil’s creative use of his phone flashlight will be sure to make you laugh. If you’re looking for more strange, old-school Phil videos to celebrate his birthday today, ‘The Basket‘ is another classic you don’t want to miss.
3. Why I Was A Weird Kid
Another classic AmazingPhil video is this one, where he tells us just a few of the reasons why he was a weird child. From a strange obsession with braces to talking to his own shadow, Phil recounts some of the strangest tendencies from his childhood. This idea actually turned into a spread in Dan and Phil’s book, The Amazing Book is not on Fire, and a segment in their live stage show, The Amazing Tour is not on Fire!
